5 Product Designs I Love for My Husky

 Niseko the husky.

Niseko the husky.

hello world! this is niseko, our new husky puppy — yay! today i thought i'd share you with 5 product designs i love for my dog. if you're a husky owner, you probably know how important it is to keep your dog active. in recently doing some research about ways to wear out your pup, i learned that mental exercises, such as problem solving, are just as important as physical activity. that being said, i have a couple of ways of keeping niseko mentally busy these days in between walks and runs.

1. Titan Busy Bounce

first up is the titan busy bounce. this toy is super similar to the kong. the main reason why i went with this one instead is because it's made in the USA. niseko loves peanut butter. so, normally i put a spoonful of it in here and just let him play with it for a while. it'll keep him busy for about 15 minutes while he tries licking out all of the goodness.

2. The JW Hol-ee Roller Dog Ball

the second toy was sort of a discovery. we bought the jw hol-ee roller treat dispensing dog ball, which all on its own isn't much to keep his attention. one day i put an oversized biscuit inside of it and immediately you could tell it really peaked his curiosity. niseko pushed the ball around and pinned it with his paws trying to get the treat out. he still hasn't perfected the process of removing the treat or crushing it into pieces, so the nice thing about this toy is that it keeps him going for several minutes at a time.

Blue Buffalo Wilderness Dog Treats fit perfectly in this toy. Try keeping the biscuit intact when pushing it through one of the holes so that it can't get out once it's inside.

3. Walky dog Plus

now this thing is a game changer. the first time i used the walky dog plus i thought, "where has this been all of my life?" but seriously though, this hands free bike leash is super awesome. it's pretty easy to install and attaching the leash to it using the quick lock/release is simple. i love running with niseko. he's actually focused and seeing him enjoy the "pack" walk is fulfilling. on days when i'm feeling a little lazier or want to do a work-out other than running, i can pop this wand onto the bike and ride with him right next to me. niseko is about 45 pounds and the shock-absorbing leash is perfect for him. he doesn't stray, it keeps him going in the right direction, and we can do a nice work-out for him that'll keep him tired for several hours.

4. URPOWER Car Seat Cover for Pets

we try taking our husky everywhere we go, whenever we can. for that reason, this cover for the back seat of our truck is awesome. the biggest reason i like this cover is because you can set it up as a hammock, eliminating the gap between the front and back seats, increasing the amount of space the dog has there. the URPOWER car seat cover is simple to set-up and helps protect our seats from the fur.

5. Prima Pet Collapsible Travel Bowl

the last product design i wanted to share was for the more physically active adventures. for sure one of the main things we try to do is take our pup our on walks, runs, and basically anywhere else he can go. this collapsable water bowl is awesome! it's easy to clean, which satisfies the ocd side of me - ha! we use a caribeener to attach it to this insulated water bottle so that we're always ready to go.

i'm always looking for cool product designs, especially ones made in the USA. if there are any you've found that you love for your dog, let me know! i'd love to check it out 🙂
